Let's talk about TV's best show!

I saw the season premiere on HBO Go, didn't blow me away right off the bat but was definitely intriguing. I've been meaning to catch up but shit just keeps getting in the way.
I have not seen any of it because I feel that I steal from HBO enough as it is.
This show is honestly hard for me to watch, on like a physical level, during the more socially disastrous scenes. But yes, it's incredible. The last episode (directed by Todd Haynes) is pretty much a goddamn masterpiece. And the three or so before that are right up there with it.
I watched the whole of season two yesterday for the second time, and it's just amazingly well-crafted on every level, from direction to writing to acting. You can probably watch season two by itself (and I'd almost recommend it if you don't have a lot of time, since the show needs ratings), but season one provides so much necessary character stuff.
Bean: I am almost willing to give you my HBO Go password to watch this.

This season is rocking my world. It has a remarkable ability to "hit too close to home" a lot of times for me, but that's something that I really admire and embrace in a TV show, and something that I haven't really felt about a series since Friday Night Lights. I hope that makes sense.
Here's the moment from season one that made me realize this show was more than I initially thought it to be. (It starts at 1:48.)
FOR BEAN.

This show is incredible. Easily one of television's very best.
This is the best show on tv and Amy is one of the most interesting tv characters of all time. She's naive, self absorbed, and hypocritical and yet I really want her to succeed at everything she's trying to accomplish.
This is better than Girls.
"I'm a firm believer in karma, and I think this situation is a huge learning lesson for me.
To grow and expand as a spiritual human being. I want to lead a country one day for all I know".
Okay, so that was pretty damn good. I'll torrent it soon, HS!
I watched the first two episodes of this recently. I am intrigued, especially since if I catch up I can act superior to all those who don't watch it, which is one of the great pleasures in life.
The third episode of the second season was so sad. Levi's monologue at the end about going out every day to find the turtle was heartbreaking.
The first season is on dvd, if you have netflix.
Only Instant for now. I might need to buy it, though.
