Oh, I agree the dancing moves for The Reader were the funniest part of that telecast... just not in a good way.

And like, do old people really love musical numbers that much? When the Rob Lowe/Snow White debacle happened, it was the old folks who complained to the Academy board.

They already got people like Norah Jones and Adele performing numbers that are actually relevant to the ceremony. Just leave it there. Take notes from the Globes. Fun hosts, quick pacing, brief presentations.

Leaving a screening of The Paperboy.

The real tragedy of that ceremony was Glenn losing Best Actress.

"My Snow White dress was bought for $23,000 by someone involved with the production who was buried in it. It was a man. I'm leaving it at that."

    It's an absolute must read:

"I remember Bob Mackie said, "Why am I making a Snow White outfit?" I fainted once during a fitting because I hadn't eaten. I woke up, and Bob was going, "Honey, are you all right?" He gave me juice. My dress was bought for $23,000 by someone involved with the production who was buried in it. It was a man. I'm leaving it at that."
