Anyway, I think the fact that Riva plans to show up to the Oscars (and tells everyone that she is going to attend) might still work in her favour. Especially if the word spreads that the whole awards circuit is too exhausting, and that she saves herself for the Oscars.. I mean come on, she goes to the most important one, they must feel extra happy about that .

Or even if "better" is debatable, at least he must have considered that some people may have thought Riva's performance was more awards-worthy than Lawrence's.
