McCartney winning Traditional Pop Album really surprised me. With the not great reviews (even from his fandom) for that album and considering his competition from Carole King to a guy who that category 3 times already, I thought he wouldn't win.
Fun Fact: Its the first album of freshly recorded material to win Macca a Grammy since LET IT BE.
Movies recently reviewed by RRA:
Star Trek (2009)
Pain & Gain (2013)
Oblivion (2013)
Jurassic Park III (2001)
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
Adele has already gone on the record putting the kibosh on her Chris Brown "feud". It didn't happen.
She said she was actually "complimenting" him.
Boo, Adele.
While almost none (Tamia! SWV! The Lumineers! Avett Brothers!) of the acts I were rooting for won, I was entertained by this year's show. It's been a while since I actually sat down and watched the entire Grammy show, but I did like most of the performances, with Kelly Clarkson being my favorite of the night.
As for winners I'm happy about:
*Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" for Best Pop Vocal Album
*Miguel's "Adorn" for Best R&B Song
*Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer & Chris Thile's "The Goat Rodeo Sessions" for Best Folk Album & Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical)
*Jimmy Fallon's "Blow Your Pants Off" for Best Comedy Album*Michael Amzalag & Mathias Augustyniak's work for Björk's "Biophilia" album for Best Recording Package
