LMAO, I have never been more aware of how my musical tastes don't match up with other people's.

    Babel’s Metascore is worse than the worst-reviewed AOTY nominee of each year from 01-08 (76, 70, 68, 71, 64, 67, 71, 72). The 3 winners 09-11 were at least in the mid-70s.
    This is absurd.

Frank Ocean + Black Keys were way, way better. Jack White isn't to my taste but he's better too.

Ang Lee - The only 2x Bafta/DGA/Oscar-Winning Director!
Meryl on Oscars: Y’see these little babies? These are my best f***ing friends
and they never let me down. Try to get ‘em away from me and I’ll eat you alive.

Yeah, hating on Sheryl Crow isn't going to win you any fans, Largo.

    WE'RE GONNA FIGHT!

This weekend...one last chance to save Halle's career from complete oblivion. Oh, wait...
    "...it's already done."

Also, I wonder how much longer it is going to take for Taylor Swift to realize that her stage persona is basically diametrically opposed to the content of her songs. You can't whine about being wronged when you are bragging about how awesome it is to be opening the Grammys and dressing like the most popular girl in school.

I kind of makes her come off as a bully or something. I'm super popular and powerful, but you should pity me anyway!

(But, lol, maybe it's just me!)

She's such a little fraud. Ugh the British accent during her performance. Girl, grow up. She'll probably win AOTY next year.

    Some quick thoughts:

    - Kelly Clarkson's performance was incredible. Man, I loved that.

    - Rihanna actually sounded pretty great. I hate that the song is about Chris, though, who honestly isn't even trying to be anything other than the worst person in the world anymore.

    - I want to marry Frank Ocean.

    - Jack White is insane. One of the true greats. His performance was a monster.

    - Mumford & Sons just make me uncomfortable. Like, whatever. Do your thing. But when they pretend they're fucking Led Zeppelin and raise their goddamn banjos in the air like they're doing anything impactful, it makes me want to scream.

Yes, because ANYONE WHO'S WRONGED is automatically not allowed to have any popularity or swagger. I'm sure every popular person out there has a perfectly charmed life and nothing EVER goes wrong for them, so they should never make any complaints.

She should follow popular-around-here Adele's example and never complain about her love life. Oh wait...that's what all of Adele's singles are about?

The difference is Adele lives a very private life. Taylor lives a very, VERY, VERY PUBLIC life. She dates a lot, which is fine! Nothing wrong with that, but she also writes scathing, deeply personal and easily identifiable (in terms of who it is about) songs about each person she has ever dated. The world knows who each song is about.

    Will Oscar have Riva Fever?

I like Taylor. I think she's perfectly fine. But the nice girl image wears really thin sometimes and when she tries to, like, get back at these guys it just comes across as incredibly desperate and plotted. It's like she gets herself into these situations just so she has somebody to diss when she opens the Grammys.

Adele writing a song like "Someone Like You" about somebody she dated privately for years is a hell of a lot different than Taylor Swift publicly shaming somebody she went on four dates with.

LOL. Her character in Girls said it to her parents in the series debut.

LOL her character did. Not Lena.

I've defended Taylor a lot because she writes her own music, she seems harmless enough and I think, in the grand scheme of things, I'd rather young girls look up to somebody like her rather than somebody like Katy Perry. But, increasingly, Taylor has insisted on maintaining this very strange, selfish sense of entitlement and I think she might be the worst one of all.

I am pretty much on the same page with you, but I find it harder and harder to defend her these days. Her last cd, Speak Now, was just so whiny and annoying and too personal for my tastes. Red was more a return to form, but I don't know. Perhaps it's all because she's so freaking overexposed these days. At least Adele disappeared after the Grammys last year, which gave everyone a break.

We're never ever getting back together is not white horse or whatever and it's supposed to be nasty kiss off song and the Performance should match that unlike how she performs white horse. Like all breakups are the same. Some can be where your so glad to have gotten rid of the person and others are make you sadder.

No. She wouldn't go the private route like Adele.
