Well, it's obviously silly to say that Affleck/Argo has been winning ONLY because of his snub, so of course not. Argo has been underestimated by many of us. That being said, I don't think it turned out to be a bad thing for the film this season, that he was snubbed, do you?

I LOVE those pics of Chastain and Cotillard. LOL. I swear this award season has provided us with more memorable images (Tommy looking unamused, Glenn Close 'drunk', Kidman/Watts at SAG, Russell's reaction to Riva, to name just a few) than any other year I can remember.

ETA: Also after the Irish awards on Sat when Cotillard won, IMO I had her over Riva to sneak in for the BAFTA win (I know they're different voting committees). So Lawrence has US and AUS (albeit the latter could change with Watts), Riva has BAFTA, French (unless they do what they did last year, most likely not though) and possibly Euro vote.

If anyone wants to take a look, they can check out the last two pages on which you feel the need to attack each and every post that says anything remotely negative about anything to do with SLP. I caught on early on to your game. I think maybe you felt other fans supporting you that was enough. But over the last two pages, you have felt the need to correct Michael Bay, Russen18, KitKat, DameMelissaLeo, and others. You came on here in January 2013. And about 90% of your posts since have been praising SLP or, as in the last few pages, scolding people who say anything negative about the people involved in SLP.
No one here owes it you to love that film or, even if they like it, love David O. Russell or Harvey Weinstein or Jennifer Lawrence's performance. No one here is obligated to do that and your attempts to shame people when they post is out of line. I shouldn't have to worry that every time I post on something I have you trolling me. I don't think it was a "thing", period. A few weeks before Oscar nominations, I began to have a sneaking suspicion that Argo would emerge the favorite. So I do believe that it would have won all the awards it has won if Affleck had been nominated.
