Why all this sudden hate to Renner?![]()
LOL, no...try the fact that he can't really act. I mean, I actually really loved him in The Hurt Locker, but looking over his filmagraphy it's not like he's had a whole lot of those. His cliched performance in The Town was a joke and his affection for genre trash is bizarre. Couple that with his ugly mug and the fact that he was in S.W.A.T. (lol at Colin Farrel coming out to talk about him at the Oscar ceremony) and you have a lot of reasons to hate on Renner...
Jeremy Renner is like the William Haines of the 21st century except that Haines was more charismatic and was out of the closet.

WE'RE GONNA FIGHT!
This weekend...one last chance to save Halle's career from complete oblivion. Oh, wait...
"...it's already done."
#THECALL.
The script has massive issues. And even if it didn't, he's going to be majorly upstaged by Bardem and Pitt, both of whom have juicy, crazy roles. The counselor is a passive character with little development. The Playlist, when they were "dream casting" the script, described the part as a cypher. That's being kind. I'd call that character a boring void.I just hope The Counselor is undeniable and Fassbender wins alongside Ridley.
I don't get the Renner hate either. Like most of their idols haven't had turkeys like HANSEL & GRETEL in their pasts? Please people. With that same bitchyness, I could hold BEWITCHED against Kidman and TAKING LIVES against Jolie and PROMETHEUS against Fassbender and so on, so on.
Its just stupid. (But yeah I'll admit that I didn't like BOURNE LEGACY but that wasn't his fault but *shocking concept!* the filmmakers instead.)
(Of course I don't have gaydar so I don't know how we know "know" Renner is a closet case? Except that one infamous set photo from AVENGERS I believe where ErikDean quipped "work it gurl!", which I must admit was hilarious.)
He was excellent in The Hurt Locker, fully deserved nomination there. The Town was a solid performance, not one of the top five of the year though.
