The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Sequels may lose Daniel Craig

Craig wants a pay raise after Skyfall...

So now they might write the character out of the sequels!

This is fucking stupid! That being said, the second film (Swedish) was kind of lame, but the third one is the best in the trilogy, and Fincher's direction MADE the movie, so if he is returning then the trilogy WOULD be a good idea. I just can't see writing out a key character. I mean, he's not central anymore (because the second film especially loses interest in him) but having the finale without him would be a fucking shame.

Why write him out when he can just be recasted?

Its what Sony did with Spider-Man and what EON has done with Bond since the last 60s.

I didn't realize sequels were still planned?

He's just intimidated about sharing the screen with Legend Mara. He was clearly out of his league in the first movie.

    Pathetic, really.

Leaving a screening of The Paperboy.

Just leave it alone. How do they know there is demand for these sequels?

This is an even worse idea than writing out the character...honestly.

Why? I mean to be fair to Sony if they indeed are planning sequels and not development hell bullshitting, and aren't willing to give Craig a salary boost, then why not recast? I mean if they're following those books, you can't just ditch the character and then put a place-in character for the same function. At least I don't think that would be a problem.

Like, probably not even Mara really wants them.

Everyone should just move on. While I doubt the sequels would totally flop, interest in the series is over.

From interviews I'd be surprised if Mara wants anything out of life, at all.

So, you should adore her like you adore Chastain, no? Or Bergman, for that mater.

Though the first film was well-received and had a fair amount of fans, I just can't see a sequel with Fincher, Craig and Mara all back being anticipated by much of anyone. And considering that even Sony doesn't really want Fincher back after going overbudget, that sounds impossible.

I thought he was deadweight in the first film, so good riddance.

I'm only interested if Fincher returns. I'd survive no Craig and I'd certainly be okay without Mara, but in any way, there's not much point in doing this. But I have to say I just have a problems with the remakes because for me, Rapace is the ultimate Lisbeth, even if the Swedish films, especially the second one, are kinda shit.

There's no way this is happening (there was an update somewhere that their negotiating again). They'd just recast, I don't think he owned that role as much as he could. Or at least, the audience takes away Rooney over Daniel.

Also, I feel as if Fincher would definitely not return if Craig wasn't brought back.

    LOL.

I kinda like Mara, actually. I would've nodded her for The Social Network.

I doubt there is any demand for this film, so no sequels are necessary. Also i doubt they would do it without Craig, considering he's a big movie star. Just forget it and move on Sony.
