Vanity Fair's 19th Annual Hollywood Issue

Yeah, I want Annie Leibovitz back.

And why is Olivia Wilde on the cover (second panel)?

Man, people still really want to make Olivia Wilde happen. Also, truly shocking that we haven't gotten any Cooper/Affleck gay couple rumors (they've basically been stuck together at the award shows thus far), maybe this will get 'em going.

UGH Emma Stone is so annoying. She's been in like 2 good movies (maybe) but apparently she's the next Julia Roberts or something.

I think people just like Emma has a person. Or, as much as you can know someone entirely based off their public profile (fandom). I would typically be annoyed by someone like Stone but besides being funny and likeable, she also seems incredibly intelligent, self-aware and perceptive of the industry and what she wants to do.

I liked these better when it was a group photo of upcoming actors and actresses that people thought would break out. Like the one year it was Penelope Cruz next to a bunch of failures like Wes Bentley, Chris Klein, Jordana Brewster and Sarah Wynter (??)

Group photos aside (or let alone any creativity, high-style or originality), these are horrible photos. Look at the expression on Bradley Cooper and the almost foolish looking pics of Redmayne and Affleck. Or how cheap it makes Emma Stone and Wilde.

I believe that Anne Hathaway has digs on being "the next Julia Roberts". After her, its Lea Michele.

Emma Stone is not even in the queue!

    That's fugly.

I think the Leibowitz ones were easthetically dubious too, although not ugly (she's in general a very overrated photographer), but at least they were entertaining in an "OMG they let X in while they left Y out!" way.

Yes. This is just a tired collection of weird photos. The Redmayne one is particularly terrible and sad.

I thikn the cover is the worst offender. That font. The random furry animals. The unflattering pose. It looks some bad fanzine instead of Vanity Fair.

Yet another Vanity Fair cover that fails to impress me.

Would it have killed them to add some diversity on the cover? I guess they don't call it Vanity FAIR for nothin'.

Emma Stone really shouldn't be there. Chastain and Hathaway would have made more sense. JLaw was on the cover last month, so i understand why they didn't pick her.

I agree with this, I like Stone but lets be honest she still is a supporting star, the only film she really had to carry was a so so success. And 2012 was no even that remarkable for her.

I love when they do the group photos for the Hollywood issue. There is so much variety in the Best Actress race that the five should be on the cover. Naomi could be holding Quvenzhane in a baby bjorn.

Still, Emma Stone is the best of these three.
