If you don't like my comments on performances, tough luck. My job is not to confirm to whatever fan club you belong to. It especially riles me that someone who was warned after saying something repugnant to me continues to try to provoke me. Yeah you apologized but you still seem insistent on bringing me up. I will continue to question the interest in the quality of women's acting by awards group as I did when I questioned Jennifer Hudson and Sandra Bullock getting awards. I am allowed to do that. Just as you are allowed to state you think Lawrence's performance is more deserving of awards than Weisz's, Cotillard's, Riva's, Hoss's, Winstead's, etc.
I don't care that your job is not to confirm to my "fan club" or whatever, heck I don't even care if you dislike Jennifer Lawrence's performance or the film as a whole, it's that you aggressively have to state your opinions on the film and her performance every time they take an award home. You also have this self righteous attitude that everyone who liked the film is blind from this mediocrity that apparently only you can see and don't allow people to have their own opinions about it and that everyone who would award Lawrence can't truly judge acting by women, as evident by the list of women you posted, for only two of which I've seen (Weisz and Riva) and would award the latter over any other actress this year in a heartbeat (so don't put words into my mouth). That's my issue with you.

In conclusion, yes Idw, you are allowed to question an actress winning and allowed to criticize whatever you please, but that doesn't make it any less annoying. You can say the exact same thing about me.

Also, btw, I felt REALLY bad about the post I made in the LA thread and the last thing I want you to think of me as is a misogynist or a sexist. One's gender should be off limits and all of this has nothing to do with whatever gender you are outside of the internet, I'm sure you are a very nice woman.

I was under the impression that the one they use for the stage presentation is brown, but when they distribute all the actual awards, those are teal. The one the person on stage holds when giving an acceptance speech isn't the one they keep. That's why they look brown on stage but teal in the press room.

Looking at this video, you can see Helen Mirren's SAG for The Queen changing colors over the course of one interview. It looks like it's the lighting (2:15ish).

    Dame Leo is sad,

Does anyone else feel REALLY bad for Sasha Stone? Can this poor thing catch a break during an Oscar season? First The Social Network and David Fincher suffered a come from behind defeat in 2011. The next season her favorite Hugo was the bridesmaid to The Artist. To add insult to injury Sasha's fav that year Viola Davis with her afro suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Streep. Oh yeah The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo also kinda crashed and burned. Now this year what seemed like the prime Oscar candidate and Stone favorite Lincoln is being assassinated all over again right before our eyes! Add that with Lawrence winning actress and you have to wonder if voters are coming to Awards Daily, seeing who Sasha supports, and than picking the opposite!

I am calling BS! Sasha stand strong and tall my sister. The Academy is messing with you right now. They are messing with all of us!
This is why Julianne Moore has never won an Oscar

I'd feel bad for her if she was a person capable of respecting other's opinions.

Hell, I am prepared for it to be the film's only win period -- and will still be upset when it happens.

Yeah, that's true, it very well could be the film's only win. Damn, you told me that a week ago and I would have laughed at you.

I rewatched bits and pieces of this in the dvr this morning, and I just noticed that Tommy Lee Jones beat Robert De Niro. That makes the supporting actor race kinda interesting. I was expecting Jones and De Niro to go neck and neck into the Oscars, but now I'm thinking that Jones has more of an edge than he may have had before.
