However, if one gets mixed or bad reviews then it's a different story.
    I totally understood what you both were saying, especially after RageColoredGlasses pointed out how the critics changed Les Miz's bid. no harm no foul, just englightenment.

    Here are two clips from Fruitvale (one of those was posted earlier)

    "The first clip is about 30 seconds long, and comes in at the 33:40 mark of the video. Thereafter the second clip, begins at around the 37:45 mark."

    Yeah, sorry, both clips from Fruitvale are just really, really underwhelming.
    In a million years, when kids go to school, they gonna know;
    once there was a Hushpuppy, and she was nominated for an Oscar.

    Yeah, some of the reviewers were saying it wasn't exactly subtle. Nonetheless, the dialogue is still way more on-the-nose than I had anticipated.

    MMMM only generated acting buzz and then they studio made the mistake of only sending screeners to the acting branch; that has never worked and we saw it again this year with Dowd, Kidman and Weisz.

    Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread, but I just got invited to a Fruitvale screening!
