    8.5ish.

I voted 8. I was surprised by how much it managed to do without tripping on itself. MUCH better than the ludicrously overpraised The Fighter. And everyone in the cast is pretty much wonderful (SO rooting for Cooper over Day Lewis).

Eww! Looper rated higher than Beasts of the Southern Wild? Oh AD...

A strong 8. Not without flaws (the ending especially felt so out-of-place), but the terrific cast really elevated the material. JLaw and Cooper are lovely.

The film grows as its characters do, too.

Really, really love this. It's what commercial, "feel good" filmmaking should be. Loved how the film starts as one thing and works its way into something else entirely.

Yeah, Oscar, I know. Like these people had Academy Award nominations in third grade.

Either an 8 or a 9. Loved it. As others have saiid on paper it is a typical rom-com-dramedy but when you watch it you see all the layers unravel.

    8. I almost went 9, but the ending alls a little flat. Of all the Best Picture contenders, this is the one I keep wanting to see again, for whatever reason. Cooper is kind of amazing, Lawrence is great. Loved this.

And although I've repeatedly said that the ending is problematic (which it is!), the entire dance sequence to Pat giving Tiffany the letter and them kissing along the street is pure ecstasy. Both JLaw and Cooper sold it completely for me. They made the cliche, incredulous Hollywood ending believeable, and I was swooning at the end

I walked out after an hour and twenty minutes, so I don't know if it's morally justified to vote. Probably not, so I won't.

I finally saw this and liked it enough. Cooper and Jlaw were excellent and would be deserving winners and I enjoyed De Niro and Weaver (CRABBYSNACKS!!). The ending was a little too troublesome for me to necessarily love it though.

Also 4/5 Best Actress nominees are in my personal ballot!

Why would you walk out of a movie you're 3/4 finished with?

This movie doesn't know what the fuck it's supposed to be.

I didn't really dislike it! But it's not worth more than a 4.

This is a fantastic film, unashamed of what it is and miraculously willing to embrace formula at the end with a euphoric sense of cinematic energy, the scene after the dance with Cooper giving Lawrence the last letter is the perfect example of this. They both deserve to win.
