To think before seeing the film that I'd cry with "Firework" playing would be, well, ridiculous.
I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though.

I really don't know about an award like this.

Like, you know... Puccini's Nessun Dorma in Killing Fields. How do you beat that? I guess it would "best use", but I don't know how much merit there's in that.

Eye of the Tiger in Persepolis, obviously would've won.

Not from my personal awards. Bob accepts everything I give him, including nominations!

Amazing choices! And ditto the poster above me who cited "Eye of the Tiger" in Persepolis.

Great. Now who's going to watch Sunday Rose on SAG night??

I always wished they had this category for trailers. I associate Scala Brothers' "Creep" with The Social Network more than any song from that actual film.

This bring's to mind the cover of "Immigrant Song" used in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

Speaking of Blue Valentine, I think "You and Me" is excellently used.

Oh yes, that would be an easy winner for me. The credits were actually the highlight of the film

    That opening was amazing.

I think the Oscars should bring back the "adapted score" category, but previously written songs being used is otherwise a directorial decision.

Like, isn't 'I Will Always Love You' from The Bodyguard be like the ultimate example of this. I will ALWAYS associate that song with that movie and, if it had been original, it would have been the 'My Heart Will Go On' of 1992.

Except Dolly's version (and the film it was in) was way better!

    WE'RE GONNA FIGHT!

This weekend...one last chance to save Halle's career from complete oblivion. Oh, wait...

I wouldn't contest that, but I'm just saying that this song and Whitney's version and that movie will always be linked. Sorry Dolly, but MANY people don't even know that she sang the original version.
