Excuse me. I referenced that I stopped taking Wells seriously after the Vinessa Shaw situation. You stated that Sasha is no different from him on that account. Pray tell when Sasha did something that loathsome and disrespectful. You said they are peas in the pod on the matter. You clearly feel she did something as despicable and unprofessional as Wells.
Sasha just takes the awards season too damn personal. Wells, on the other hand, is utter scum.![]()
You have not answered the question. You stated they are peas in a pod. I asked when did she do something "that loathsome and disrespectful". Unless you are confusing someone attacking movies and criticizing critics awards with a person sending emails to directors asking for nude stills of an actress in the movie. If so, you seriously need some help with perspective.
Well said Elessar. We have both talked about how Sasha gets way too focused on one movie and rejects all others because of it. But to say her and Wells are peas in the pod is the equivalent of saying that Wesley Morris and Rex Reed are peas in the pod because they both have done scathing critiques on films.

I think it was foolish declaring absolutely definitively that "Lincoln" was going to win as she did on the latest podcast, yes. "Lincoln" wasn't much of a favourite anyway, as soon as "Argo" took a stranglehold on this race Screenplay was going to have to follow in lieu of any Directing or Acting awards, some people (Sasha, Anne) have just been living in denial.
LOL. Lincoln is only marginally better than Argo. Stop pretending it’s some sort of cinematic revelation. I’ll be glad when it looses despite thinking it better than Argo just because the sense of entitlement here from Lincoln supporters is SO baffling.
Let’s talk about that supposed masterpiece of scripts, Lincoln: let’s talk about how, after it’s been clearly stated that Thaddeus Stevens is a very principled man who thinks blacks are equals in everything to whites, and that saying otherwise means to him a terrible betrayal of his conscience, Tony Kushner thinks us so stupid that, after Stevens lies in the congress and says he thinks “equality” has to be merely legal, he includes a scene in which a member of his same faction scolds him for betraying his principles and he spells out his reasons for doing so. LOL, such MASTERFUL writing! It’s not redundant in the least! And besides the movie was so short that they needed, by all means, to include that scene!![]()
Yeah, this sums it up pretty nicely. Terrio's script being singled out is so strange to me and especially it winning when up against stuff like Lincoln and Silver Linings Playbook. Oh well. Argo's sweep is impressive, but seeing everyone once again go for mediocre entertainment is the kind of thing one just has to laugh about.
Well, wasn't Terrio's script at the top of the industry's Black List a few years ago? It's not that surprising that its getting more attention after being placed in the hands of a capable director...
WE'RE GONNA FIGHT!
This weekend...one last chance to save Halle's career from complete oblivion. Oh, wait...
"...it's already done."
