This might hold some credence if SLP were to lose SAG tomorrow, which I highly doubt it will.

If it wins SAG tomorrow then no. If it loses..... still no, especially if it loses to Argo.

This year is too wild to call anything dead including Lincoln.

Not totally although I think SAG ensemble is kind of overated as a Predictor every award season. If SLP is gonna pull the upset though beating Argo and Lincoln with WGA might be an indicator.

??? There are no critics or famewhore Golden Globe voters branches at the Oscar. Losing critic awards and GG actually means nothing since a lot of those people are just hedging their bets with what they think will win Oscars so they can make themselves relevent.

Even if Lincoln loses DGA it still has a chance if it beats Argo at WGA and ACE.

I keep going back and forth between Argo and SLP. My faith in Argo all during the critics season when everyone else was jumping ship proved to be well founded but every time I decide to predict it I'm forced to face two issues. 1) What else does it win, and 2) What the hell is winning director?? I guess it's just going to be an anomoly year and "Argo" will only take Picture and Editing and someone random will win director? Or SLP sweeps, that seems simple.

If Argo wins BP it should have no trouble winning Screenplay too. Kushner is not the mortal lock I assumed he was. I think people will be perfectly content with giving Lincoln just Actor.

Director is a headscratcher, for sure. I can really only see Lee winning in that scenario, but even he seems not quite right. Director is really never the place where someone random wins. I can't think of any example, actually.

Well, if voters are looking to give Argo a major win... there's an open category where they could do so...

If Affleck gets all these standing ovations from actors for his snub then is it means it is gonna win SAG?

I just can't see David O. Russell winning director with SLP also winning Best Picture. Like, at all.

I see how Life of Pi CAN win Picture, but Screenplay seems illogical even if that happened. That's the movie's weakest aspect and the one that's been criticized the most.
