I mean, this film is marginally entertaining and not poorly made, so...6?

I really like the scene where Judi Dench is teaching to the telemarketers. Everything else is pretty standard.

I gave it a 5 (** 1/2 star, if I were to convert it to the 4 star scale.) It had good performances and I smiled here and there, but overally it was pretty bland, somewhat predictable and I was iffy on a few aspects of the script.

Judi Dench sure knows how to wear a scarf!

6/10. Cute, inoffensive and fun. I love the old British broads just playing themselves.

Great. Now who's going to watch Sunday Rose on SAG night??

Lol, I completely forgot I saw this, like I've almost erased out of my mind, not because it was bad but just because.... it's just there. Like it exsits, but that's about it.

I gave it a solid 6. It's got some pretty shots and sets and the acting is good, otherwise pretty forgettable.

I gave it a respectable 7. Not necessarily original or groundbreaking, but I think it's a sweet and delightful film featuring a terrific cast doing their thing. And of course, I will continue to champion its sequel being made!

    Generally this.
The only issue with it was the convenient way the plot maneuvered to allow each character's arcs to be resolved tidily, including the potentially offensive eventual outcome of Tom Wilkinson's. It felt like this film was avoiding any real issues so it could stick to being 'light' and 'enjoyable'.

Still competently made and well acted - 6 /10

Actually, I'd say some of the characterizations here are a bit offensive. And I didn't have much fun.

The cast is everything. Otherwise, nothing special, but sweet. 6.
I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though.

First of all, so glad to see this series is back! Thanks for tackling this, WOV!

As for the movie, I gave it a 7. I liked it. Yeah, it's pretty much all about the cast, but the photography is also quite lush and certainly does a nice job of illuminating the beauty of India that the characters begin to discover. It's nice that some of the character arcs end well, while others don't, blah blah blah. There's some horribly embarrassing stuff, like the shot of the bird taking flight as Wilkinson's character dies , but overall, it's a nice little movie. Sort of forgettable and inconsequential, but likable.

I still need to see this. I guess. At least it would give me something to talk about with my grandparents who keep raving about how great it was.
