I like how you hate Hathaway so much that you'd rather vote Field strategically (only possible chance for her to lose) than being loyal to Legend.

My Mom, who is a SAG voter, hasn't sent in her ballot yet because she is gonna see Rust and Bone tomorrow. I talked to her about how she was planning on filling it out though and here were her thoughts on the film races.

Ensemble: Argo or Lincoln (I detected an Argo lean)
    Actor: DDL
    Actress: Jennifer Lawrence
Supporting Actor: Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Though she waffled a bit toward Tommy Lee Jones, but I think she's going for PSH)
    Supporting Actress: Nicole Kidman

If Field pulls an upset we'll all know why.

At least we're assured Legend won't get a zero on both of her categories. LOL

Well, at least you had enough sense to vote for her and not Julianne Moore. But srsly, you are *thisclose* to being dead to me.

Great. Now who's going to watch Sunday Rose on SAG night??

Well, I love Silver Linings Playbook, so if you're not down with that movie or its acting, you're not liking my ballot. But I don't see how my choices are awful, LOL. Cooper is great, and without Phoenix, I don't know why someone would begrudge him as the non-DDL choice. Lawrence...whatever. De Niro is generally considered at least better than Arkin and Bardem. I almost switched to PSH but De Niro really moved me. And Field? That category already is weird.

Also, I've referred to the desperate Lincoln camp before. They're at it again. Exhibit 1,428: http://thefilmexperience.net/blog/20...osing-sag.html

I think Argo and SLP are actually in a better position to win both PGA and SAG. PGA because of the preferential ballot, and SAG because of this inane decision to give voters one day, at most, to watch the screener if they hadn't already seen Lincoln (and if they did, they saw it months ago and it's sort of passé with the SLP offensive and Argo sympathy surge). A one-day gamble just isn't smart and shows how off they are with how this should work. There's a difference between getting your movie to be the last one seen and ... getting your movie even seen!

I'm sure Lincoln of all films hasn't had a problem being seen. I'm assuming that this was just a last minute, ditch effort to have the film be the last thing on voters minds.

Ugh, I wonder how anybody can remain non-alienated by Lincoln's relentless hard-trying.

Just like they remain un-alientated by Anne Hathaway or Harvey Weinstein all of these years.

I don’t know, it’s like Harvey does it with more skill, or something. He makes them feel like they’re important for supporting little movie X, while Dreamworks seems to tell you their movie is so important that you must vote for it.

Anne Hathaway has been not-alienating people for years… How?

No she's just become at expert at it this year.

GAH...this Hathaway hate is so ridiculous, and stems from people who don't think she should have an Oscar and or hated Les Mis...like, her personality is abrasive but fun and is only alienating those who want a reason to bitch this season.

I don't hate Hathaway nor Les Mis (although I don't particularly care for either). I don't give two shits about whether she wins the Oscar or not, but I can totally see why people are annoyed by her.

The people here bitching about her being annoying are...more annoying

But of course your post debunks all I said in mine, so you're right and I'm wrong.

I don't know how the Lincoln screeners went out. My Mom got hers yesterday, but one of her friends got theirs Monday (which since it was a holiday meant it probably arrived at their PO Box on Saturday and they just got around to checking it). So not EVERYBODY got theirs the day before you have to vote.

fisti, I love you But you worship El Winslet. Obviously you won't find The Hathaway's milder desperation annoying
