Sorry I veritas'd a little there, as someone said in the first thread, I agree with what cirque said in the first thread:
This is a great film experience, i felt every emotion (...) I really want to see it again, asap, so i can look at it without the emotional reaction i had in my first sitting.

I thought "Master of the House" was the best part?!
"Oh, Santa!"

This weekend...one last chance to save Halle's career from complete oblivion. Oh, wait...

Also, I just heard Master on the House on one of the "real" well known recordings and...to be honest it wasn't even very well sung there. I mean, I have this feeling the powers that be in casting don't really care that much about Thernadiers? And they just tend to get cast for the comic relief. The version I just heard was basically all acted with crassness and was decidedly NOT pleasing to my ears and this is from one of the "good" versions of the show. I've been listening, scattershot-like to various songs from Les Miz productions on my pandora LOL.
I love the 25th Anniversary Concert version of Master of the House! It's definitely sung like you say and I think in the film it's more "stylized" (HBC's voice being soft, for example) although it works when you watch it.

God, I disliked Matt Lucas so much. He even broughts Jenny Galloway down.
The more I think about it... the more I dislike it. In fact, I think, despite not being a genre I have a lot of time for, this could have been incredible. But while Hooper did a good job on TKS (I think the performances and the script carried the director over the line), this is just a mess to me... it's actually frustrating, I can see what this could have been.
Romney's less subtle campaign message: "Don't ask questions and just vote for me!!"
I've decided not to bother with this in theatres. (Probably ever?)
I can just sit 2" from my TV to replicate the overwhelming feels of OMG CLOSEUPS!

LOL yes. As much as I mock McT I do like the show and Jonas is soooooooo bad. Ball is at least good at the soupy saccharine shit and his London self (aka young enough) does well.
Recently, I really like Gareth Gates' Marius. He's the one they used to actually record the 25th Anniversary concert on CD. Some Boy Banders can actually sing.
It's basically a loser of a role. A Heart Full of Love is one of the worst songs in a good musical. Unfortunately they always seem to cast to that and not Empty Chairs. I am curious to see Redmayne, though.
I think we should spend a few seconds wondering how the make-up crew managed to make Aaron Tveit so hideous:

siowafc, I wouldn't say Willy Wonka comes to mind as much as the 8th Doctor for me.
Movies recently reviewed by RRA:
Star Trek (2009)
Pain & Gain (2013)
Oblivion (2013)
Jurassic Park III (2001)
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
Artimus, Redmayne is magnificent. Like, I want to see the film again JUST for him. It's incredible what he did with a loser of a role.
Yeah, I have mixed feeling about the movie, but Redmayne is really good in it.
I echo the Redmayne praise. He was terrific, probably best in show for me.
