He's got The Intouchables above Django, Moonrise Kingdom, The Master, Amour and Skyfall. What the hell is he thinking?!

I just looked over his complete predictions and

Les Miz at number 1? ZDT at 5?!? The Master at 15???!??!? Django below Amour and The Intouchables?!??

    These are just embarrassing.

He's such a hack. It makes me angry that he gets paid for this.

Great. Now who's going to watch Sunday Rose on SAG night??

In his defense, those aren't actually his predictions, but Gregory Ellwood's. The sidebar isn't all Tapley. His colleagues take some of the categories.

In the podcast him and thompson agreed that Django was in, those predictions aren't updated. They also think Skyfall is in which pushes Moonrise and/or Amour out. And as someone said before, those are not all of his predictions. Lodge takes some of them.

Yeah Ellwood's even worse than Tapley. Guy Lodge is the only one with real sense and even he's been pretty off this season.

Tapley is just gambling here. He takes huge risks, and if it pays off he'll look like a wizard for calling them. Ellwood is just clueless.

Also, I do think many of these pundits let it go to their heads when they speak to a few voters in person. They start to think they have all the inside scoop.

I thought the same as well, but if you click on the contenders link, you'll get an intro by Tapley, so I do think those are his picture predictions and they are updated (today) because last week The Intouchables was not on it. The actress predictions are from Guy Lodge, Supporting actor are from Ellwood, etc.

    "The Intouchables" - Best Picture
Sometimes being the first screener out is a huge bonus, and this year, that distinction went to The Weinstein Company's Best Foreign Language Film hopeful "The Intouchables." People saw it and loved it early on and a lot of that love has stuck. My money is already on it to triumph in the foreign film category but it could slide in to the Best Picture category in the true WTF nomination of the morning. And you never saw it coming.

I swear these people don't predict based on logic and only want to be known as the first person to predict something.

Sadly, I can see The Intouchables making BP... It all makes too much sense
I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though.

I know. I'm talking about the Supporting Actress predictions, since someone just brought them up.

I mean, I know AD is an scho-chamber, but all I have ever heard about The Impossible is thatNaomi Watts has a shot and "it making BP just makes too much sense!" This despite the fact that the film has barely been released stateside and has next to no buzz outside of "but it makes too much sense!" posts. So...I am entirely unconvinced.

Well, The Intouchables is an even fucking crazier idea than The Impossible.
