This is the most retarded thing ever you have ever written. Lincoln is a film most critics agree is Spielberg's most restrained, focused on Tony Kushner's words. It has even been critcized for being too drab and talky.

Calling a Spielberg film "manipulative" is a knee-jerk, random, expected cliché to come out of the mouths of dim-witted contrarians and snobs.

It's such a lazy criticism of the movie. Yes there are a few excessive Spielberg moments in there, but overall the movie is so much more than that.

Hey, I was being sarcastic. I haven't even seen the film yet and will reserve judgment until I do. Stop being such a fanboy and lay off being 'dickish'.

Heh, I could not have a worse sarcasm detector if I tried.

Come on...I mean, the ridiculousness of jumping all over anyone who says something negative about a film you love (or a film you 'have to love' because it was directed by someone you worship) is tiring. Lincoln is snubbed across the board and someone says "they must not have seen it" and I reply "or they thought it was shit" and I'm an idiot because of that. Seriously, you know they saw it and they obviously didn't think it was the masterpiece you feel it has to be because of who is behind it. GET OVER YOURSELF

For a moment I thought this is Australia's Austin. Because it is not released in Australia.
Spielberg vs. the Industry. Who Will Win In The End?

    Spielberg lost.

Of course they saw the movie, it's been in wide release for a month and a half and has been a huge box office hit. They clearly didn't like it, hence the 0 nominations. That said, they're opinion is clearly a minority and it's not like they're of the profile where this will matter at all.

They saw the movie, they didn't like it. Whatever. This is Austin, who cares?

Texas is where Oscar dreams go to die, apparently. First, Marion Cotillard. Now, Lincoln. Doomed, they're doomed I say!

Considering that Tilda Swinton swept the Texas critics last year, anyone who wants an Oscar nomination needs to stay clear of this state.

This is awesome, frankly. Austin critics are the best.
And, seriously, I think they probably liked Lincoln well enough, but not enough of them were passionate about it. In Austin, there's a serious, intelligent film culture, and I think it's reflected in these awards.

I feel like we should have a combined/consolidated thread for all these Tier Z Critics Awards. I swear the number of threads there are is confusing. There're a couple of times, I thought there was a repeat thread.

he did! Leo won that random NBR, and Waltz won two (or three?) of those and was nominated for at least one more than Leo was (which makes it 5 I guess)

There's something wrong with this signature.
Can you find that ONE mistake?
