Good day for Argo and Hathaway.

And Movifreak and guany will come at me for this, but each passing day it's more and more obvious that DDL is the place where they're gonna reward Lincoln, with likely the script too, but it's not looking very good as far as picture/director go. Whenever critics go highbrow it's ZDT or Master, and when they go populist it's Argo or SLP. Lincoln seems to be not here nor there. I think, if the guilds go populist, it will be towards Argo, and if they go more "thinking man", they'll go ZDT.

This is shocking, unpleasant and terrible, but I agree with you.

You're saying this because this it has been a few good days for Argo with these Tier Z critics? I think that Submerge said it best yesterday, but none of these critics awards matter anymore, like at all. They're good for building buzz prior to the televised precursors announcing their nominees. Lincoln doesn't need the buzz and has done as well with them as it needed to. It keeps showing up everywhere, both with critics nominations and top ten lists. It leads the BFCA (with a record), GG and SAG nominations. This is a guilds film if I've ever seen one and I expect it to sweep the top four guild awards as well as the GG and possibly the BFCA and BAFTA as well.

PSH is winning more and more lately, could it be oscar #2 for our sexy beast?
And Chastain and Lawrence are really neck-and-neck in terms of critic awards, I can't remember when one season was so even between two at this point of the race. thank god the only borefest this year seems to be best actor.

There's something wrong with this signature.
Can you find that ONE mistake?

how many critic awards did Marion take really? I think Andrews was in the clear pole position, wasn't she? Of course there was the week when Ellen Page swept the 3rd tiers but besides that? memory could fool my of course.

Christie's loss, especially when you add the Globe and SAG wins, was really (statistically) devastating.
