    I mean, I haven't seen either film, but just based on their subject matter and my perception of their content and execution, I cannot fathom how one could compare Argo to Zero Dark Thirty and say that the former is better.

    Not when, at the same time, it's not sweeping the screenplay awards like some insisted it would. Argo and SLP keep taking a few home.

    It is kinda weird how neither Lincoln in BP nor Spielberg is getting any wins. Metacritic's scoreboard thus far has a T5 without Spielberg, and Lincoln's merely tied for 5th in BP.

    But from the critics, King's Speech with a slightly higher Metascore won Phoenix and nowhere else, so it's not particularly damaging to Lincoln's Oscar chances.

    This is a huge organization in kind of a film desert--I bet the vast majority of them haven't in fact seen Amour yet.

    Argo for best film, best director and best adapted screenplay, Lawrence for best actress and The Intouchables for foreign language film shows a consistency in taste.
