Django Unchained 2: I Count Two Guns

    Continue here.

The other thread was getting WAY too long, and I haven't done anything moddy in awhile so...the new TV clip with the line I reference in the thread title is AWESOME. I need this movie to come out now!

Son of a bitch. The confrontation between Django and Stephen in the bedroom at Candyland was one of my favorite scenes in the script.

Reminds me of that one scene from the leaked KILL BILL script which wasn't in the movie (was it even filmed?) where Bill goes to a local rathole gambling joint. Don't remember anything about said scene, except an exchange of getting charged $20 for a dixie cup of booze. A good typical QT exchage.

I remember that scene in the script. Samuel L.'s wife was supposed to be a female gambler/gangster type Bill personally decided to take care of.

30-0 so far. Wonder who will be the first to give this a bad review on RT.

Rex Reed is gearing up that typewriter as we speak.

I rarely use this word, but goddamnit.

What happens in "Django Unchained" has NOTHING to do with what happened in Connecticut.

Word. The violence in the film is not unprovoked by any stretch of the imagination.

It actually has nothing to do with Django's content; Weinstein didn't feel it was right to celebrate right now. Parental Guidance's premiere was also cancelled, and I seriously doubt Bette Midler and Billy Crystal go around killing a bunch of people in it.

In that sense, I can understand and respect the decision. It still just really sucks because I've been trying for the better part of a week to get passes to the screening. And my impatience regarding new Tarantino is infamous.

I'm not surprised at all. Remember when Weinstein (with a straight face) called for a Hollywood summit on stopping movie violence or something quite self-covering-one's-own-ass after the Aurora shooting?

Come on, 20 children were killed. I think we can all survive a canceled premiere for an ultra violent movie, even if the violence is incomparable. It's not just Weinstein, even Jaime Foxx made a statement about movie violence.

No I agree with their decision, or at least I understand the why.

    Dame Leo says,

I gonna put ya'll back in chains Django! Stick a fork in this movie! It's done! It will be the poster child for violence in Hollywood for those upset over the Sandy Hook massacre.

I shall take it out of all major predictions! That includes you Waltz!

Lmao, Rex Reed was the movie's fourth 100 on Metacritic which is now at 82%.

A positive review from Village Voice has brought the film to 34/34 on RT.
