It doesn't matter what category you want to put Lange in for Tootsie. She didn't deserve to win, but then again neither did Garr. Lesley Ann Warren should have won for Victor/Victoria.
It sucks that Lange's work in Frances had to compete with Sophie's Choice, but I also think that Julie Andrews should have won over both of them!![]()
Oh, and I love that she won it against "Dusty", too.
According to the IMDB, she was runner up in best actress for "Frances" and won supporting for "Tootise" from NYFFC.

And NSFC gave her supporting win for "Tootsie" and she was runner up for best actress for BOTH "Frances" and "Tootise". In hindsight, did they vote for best actress before supporting actress as I am sure they would like to award her for something for such a great year?

Both Lange and Streep were amazing. 1982 was probably the best year ever. dont forget Spacek for Missing. She was great too.
Either way -
Aw. Tom got angry elsewhere's, lol...
EDIT: I expected some acknowledgement for this one, lol. Seems like I'm turning more and more into Sister Mary Eunice as the days go on... Nah, I'll always be Jude Martin at heart and I wouldn't have it any other way.
It is a sad state the world is in that anybody has to speak to Tom O'Neil.
Eh, c'est la vie. Also, American Horror Story: Asylum makes AFI's and the Huffington Post's Best/Top TV of 2012 lists. ~sigh~ It's wonderful when things begin to slowly pay off...

For shits and giggles... Love me some suited up Streep, slinky Lange and drunk Pacino. Check it, bitches.
