BFCA ballots are already in, right? Pity. I think with this momentum Emma could've gotten in. All hopes lie with the HFPA now.

    REBEL WILSON YES.

God, I guess I really need to see Perks again. Didn't note Emma doing anything of real merit...

    LOL.

It's going to be so annoying if she continues to get attention while Logan Lerman gets none. He WAS the movie.

She was good in the movie. Like, I can't really criticize the nomination since I may even nominate her!

    Can't stop what's coming:

Ang Lee - The only 2x Bafta/DGA/Oscar-Winning Director!
Meryl on Oscars: Y’see these little babies? These are my best f***ing friends
and they never let me down. Try to get ‘em away from me and I’ll eat you alive.

Perhaps she'll get a Globe nomination.

    Dame Leo says,

They bump up La Helen Hunt to lead but not PSHoffman? Please. Talk about using selective discretion.

And that's EXACTLY what the supporting actor category needed, more names to add to an already over loaded list! Thanks San Diego!

And I am so over the critics going up on Christoph Waltz. I still remember when the critics tried to shield him from Carnage by claiming he was best in show when he was just as hammy as Winslet and Foster. I will be so pissed if he knocks out Leo. He looks like he gives the same performance he always does yet the critics couldn't wait to include him everywhere even when there was some confusion around his placement! SO.IN.THE.TANK!

And Naomi Watts totally bought them off to get that nomination.
This is why Julianne Moore has never won an Oscar

Did I lay eyes on a Marsha Mason sig above! I HAVE TEARS! I am so glad Marsha is remembered!

If they snub her at BFCA and stick her in the young actress column, i'm gonna start doubting her chances to make it. I mean because if the critics don't consider her up with the big girls, than how can academy members? That's where i am with Wallis at the moment, she's like right on the cusp along with Riva.

Is she missing because they don't think she's one of the 5 best or because she's a kid? If I think you're only the 7th best leading actress, you could still be the best young performer of the year. It's so easy to still get breakthrough awards from people that don't think you're amazing. It'd be more telling if the film was getting nominated for several major awards with these critics and they still skipped over her. That's not what's happening. This is showing a lack of love for the film with these few critics groups more than anything. It's no different from any other actor missing.

The best two mentions of the day, anywhere ...

    Christopher Walken, SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS
    Matthew McConaughey, KILLER JOE

Almost everything else here ... utter crap.

    Not much love for Lincoln.

The supporting actor category is getting really weird.
    Recent watched movies:

Star Trek Into the Darkness - B+
    Iron Man 3 - B
    The Grandmaster - B+
    Django Unchained - B
    Les Miserables - A-

    My thoughts on box office

I suppose you're right, they could be skipping over her entirely but she's still winning the breakthrough stuff. I guess we'll see tomorrow whether it becomes a trend or not.

Why do Emma Watson keeps getting mentions for her mediocre acting? Poor Logan Lerman.
Yikes, they liked Lincoln as much as LAFTA did.

    Can Emma Watson actually happen?

It's unfair if she gets in before Ezra/Logan, but then again AMPAS loves to do that from time to time.
