Movies you can watch over and over

I'm not talking about movies you think are the greatest film of all time. I'm talking about movies that for whatever reason, if you're flipping through the channels or if you're bored on a sunday afternoon, you decide you wanna stop and watch this film. My main definition of a movie like this, and this may sound confusing, but a movie you can fall asleep to. I'm not talking about a movie that puts you to sleep because it's so boring. I mean, a movie that you're so comortable seeing, a movie you're not worried about falling asleep to because you know exactly what comes next. A movie you're so used to seeing, it just puts you at ease, is great "background music", and can entertain you whenver it's playing.

I've got a ton of films like this, and each year it seems I get a new one.

The newest one for me, seems to be Bernie. It's such a fun and "harmless" and entertaining movie, I only saw it for the first time about two months ago, but already I know it's gonna be one of those films.

    To add to the list:

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion
    Forrest Gump
    Wet Hot American Summer
    Air Force One
    The Shawshank Redemption
    Spaceballs
    American Beauty
    The Count of Monte Cristo
    The Time Machine
    Galaxy Quest
    The Young Sherlock Holmes
    Joe vs the Volcano
    Gattaca

and I've got a ton more, but this is just a brief list.

First thing that comes to mind is The Tree Of Life (nine times).

Second thing that comes to mind is The Naked Gun (10+ times).

Yes, those films are in no way or shape comparable.

    A few random ones:

    Almost Famous
    Pride & Prejudice
    Gone with the Wind
    Inglourious Basterds
    The Social Network
    Happy-Go-Lucky
    Pan's Labyrinth
    Spirited Away

I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though.

I think the problem with some of these is how they're always on cable. It's not like I want to watch Something's Gotta Give for the umpteenth time, but there it is, on Starz or whatever, and I have to keep watching for some reason. It's the same with Working Girl, My Cousin Vinny, and some others.

Pretty much any Disney animated film, but primarily Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin and The Emperor's New Groove. I could also watch From Dusk Till Dawn and the Rocky Horror Picture Show on a continuous loop, and did so for a large portion of my teens.

I don't really watch movies over and over. Though I have trouble imagining myself turning off Clueless whenever it's on TV.

The Brady Bunch Movie: I've seen it about a dozen times and I still laugh

Titanic: I've seen it a ridiculous number of times (especially around when it was re-released last year) and I still cry

Because I've forced others to watch Margaret, I must have seen it about four or five times now.

I could watch Once forever and ever, which I guess is sort of ironic given the title. That really is one of my favourite movies of all time and it's easily the most watchable and re-watchable thing I've ever seen.

Also, The Princess Bride and The Goonies are such delightfully entertaining comfort movies. I'll never tire of those.

I watch TV over and over again, not so much movies. It was really fun watching all of Bob's Burgers for the 3rd time this year a few weeks ago!

I can watch Classic Hollywood movies and never tire of them.

    Casablanca
    It Happened One Night
    Roman Holiday
    His Girl Friday
    The Apartment

Also, The Departed. If that is on, I cannot stop myself from sitting down and watching all of it.
