LOL, this movie is going to be ridiculous.
And Crowe is out at this point.

Um, the website only proves that McConaughey is Warner Brother's main push for the film...
Academy members don't have to look at it! WTF. I'm sorry, but![]()
How do you define A-list? I thought those who were A-List got to pick the best roles in the industry to others it might mean box office success, but since MM does not have any of those I suppose A-LIST means well known, person that appears on a lot of gossip magazines?
I was right about "Les Mis" not living up to expectations and I didn't stick to it in the end, so I'll stick by this prediction for now. Until I see him doing damage at the major precursors I will refrain from predicting him; I mean even the pundits doubt him despite the NYFCC win so that has to count for something (they're supposed to be the experts).
Also, this i apparently the one Magic Mike FYC ad that's been run so far.
I mean, c'mon. They're obviously going for this all-out.

Matthew McConaughey is about as "A-list" as Gerard Butler. And Butler's career right now is very similar to Matt's before he decided he wanted to be taken seriously.
Famous Actor does not equal A-list, otherwise there'd be hundreds of "A-listers". Ewan Mcgregor is very famous and often plays the lead in movies, and I'd argue that he's only barely considered B-list.
While Matt's career make-over is admirable, he's pretty much always been a long term B-lister. Never taken that seriously as an actor, nor considered a consistent enough box office draw. But he had enough fame and box office success to be at least considered B-list.
