About Cloclo, I have seen it and for me it had an uneven tone. There were parts that were excelent but it suffered from trying to tell a very large story (as all the biopics tend to do). I enjoyed it (though I also liked The Iron Lady, so....) and Renier was a revelation.
Ang Lee - The only 2x Bafta/DGA/Oscar-Winning Director!
Meryl on Oscars: Y’see these little babies? These are my best f***ing friends
and they never let me down. Try to get ‘em away from me and I’ll eat you alive.
But its also in English. So, yeah, foreign language films still remain at 2, unless we were then to count the highly accessible Life of Pi.
Atlantic Wire chimes in:
They give an alphabetical list of their top 10 starting with a very dubious selection:
The Amazing Spider Man
Amour
Argo
Beasts of the Southern Wild
The Cabin in the Woods
How to Survive a Plague
Looper
Moonrise Kingdom
Your Sister's Sister
Zero Dark Thirty
Bigelow's film is really dominating these lists.
Cabin in the Woods! Looper!
The Amazing Spider-Man.![]()
