why all the hate for Cloud Atlas? I thought it was an interesting movie, certainly not the worst film of the year. That honor should go to Battleship.

Well, I think most people that make worst of lists don't include things that were always going to be bad but more things that should have been good or whose anticipation was high and expectations not met.

There is no way a film with as many beautiful, crazy, exciting moments or as with as much ambition as Cloud Atlas has should be considered the worst film of the year.

I pretty much hated Cloud Atlas, but I could never call it the worst film of the year if only for the sheer ambition that was on display. I'd rather that filmmakers take risks and fail than play it safe and be boring.

But still, the movie sucked and that's the true true.

Anna! yay for a great mention.

I knew that 80 on Metacritic was incorrect. Not going to email them, just saying.

The low amount of Holy Motors mentions so far saddens me.

So neither of the EW critics included Les Miz on their top ten lists? If they've seen it (which I assume they have), I think that's a very bad sign for this film.
