My favorite is the people who went apoplectic in 2006 when the group voted for United 93 for Best Film. Didn't a few critics like threaten to hold them hostage until they voted for something else?

I swear, and this is true, that I had DiCaprio in 3rd place for Best Supp. Actor at NYFCC (goldderby). But when I went to write down my final predix on the forums I wrote Deniro... could this be a freudian sign/slip?

Chastain sweeped the major critics' groups last year (in supporting but still).

I have a hard time seeing her repeat in NY, even if Best Actress is weak this year.

It doesn't mean Zero Dark Thirty can't still win for Picture. However, I'm betting on Lincoln here. It's baity and yet has the acclaim.

Yeah, her winning in NY last year made me to drop her but if they reward ZDT in cinematography over Pi and Master, they surely must love the film.

That's my only hesitation on Chastain here (well that and the fact that Lawrence just looks like their typical winner), but it's not like these critics groups have shied away from giving multiple wins to the same people before.

I'm be thrilled with either a ZDT or Lincoln win.

They have given multiple wins to other people before, but it seems that it's too soon (one year) to give Chastain another one. Maybe they won't care, though?
