If a character's girl friend murdered and shoved into a fridge didn't do that, then DC is bulletproof.

Until their readership, made up of loyal nerds give up or die and numbers not being replenished by the newer generations, then DC will die or like Marvel eventually will transfer over fully to other media.

The current state of DC makes me want to cry my fanboy heart out. I was a loyal fan for 20 years, always looking at Marvel very cautiously, and now I'm pretty much reading only Marvel.

I tried with the New 52, I really did. I tried all the books, all of them. I just gave up last summer. I'm not interested in this new shared universe, at all.

DC lost all of my money to Marvel. I'm reading and loving a lot of Marvel Now. That's how you do a company make-over. A single page of Journey Into Mystery, Young Avengers, All-New X-Men, FF, Fantastic Four or Avengers Assemble makes me happier than anything DC did these past 16 months...not to mention the non-Marvel Now books like Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Daredevil and Wolverine & the X-Men.

You know I hated WOLVERINE: ORIGINS, but I'm actually rooting for THE WOLVERINE to be good. Its inspired by the '82 Miller/Claremont limited series, and I know alot of ADers will shit on this opinion, but I'm kinda fond of James Mangold who's trying to be a John Carpenter, Peter Hyams sort of multi-genre tackling filmmaker. Of course I was also one of the few who liked KNIGHT & DAY.

Plus its Wolverine in Japan. That doesn't hurt.

Heh, my second thought was: "Finally, she's getting a chance to be as big a star in the real world as she is in FFF!"

And LR doesn't give us their "big" Marvel scoop at Halftime. They claim they're waiting until after the IM3 ad.

Hey Beyonce performed at halftime. And she had to dance and sing and fireworks (and firework guitars!) and you're just a bunch of nerds behind a laptop. I mean really?

EDIt - well the IM3 ad played and still no scoop. Kevin Feige I bet sent a SWAT team and raided the LR HQ

Now elmayimbe is tweeting that he's waiting for his lawyer to give him the OK to actually report the scoop

    Two thoughts:

    (1) WTF aren't you supposed to do that like in the last week or so since you announced your scoop? Amateur lol.
    (2) If this is all intentional, make us eagerly wait and wait....bravo, it's working.

    OK I'll try that.

    I'm waiting LR.

EDIT - I subscribed to LR so whenever that email from them with that scoop pops up in my inbox, I'll announce the news.

I posted the BIG news from the LR scoop, but they also added this detail which I'll put in spoil tags, since its more AVENGERS sequels shit that didn't need its own thread.

According to LR, Hulk will return to Earth in AVENGERS 3 after the events of PLANET HULK (become slave gladiator, lead rebellion, toppel bad guy alien tyrant, become king) and A3 will basically be an adaptation of the WORLD WAR HULK where Hulk comes back home to get revenge, and not just for getting his ass fired into space against his will.

    Oh trash talk time!

But god what stupid trash talk. Go read his rationality, how those characters won't work because they're "out of date." Yeah that might explain the billion bucks the last two Batman movies made.

Mark Millar: JUSTICE LEAGUE movie is "good way to waste $200 million."

No big revelations, but Edgar Wright talks about his upcoming ANT-MAN movie.

"It’s a way of doing a superhero film within another genre. I wanted to tell an origin tale in a slightly different way. It’s part of the Marvel cinematic universe, but it also feels like its own piece."

"I’ve been collaborating with [Marvel boss] Kevin [Feige] during the whole of that cycle. I think people have always assumed… ‘Oh why is it taking so long to make?’ Part of it is because I wanted to make two other movies first. I wanted to make World’s End… me and Simon were very keen to make it and it felt like it was unfinished business and we wanted to wrap up the trilogy. The script came together really fast. Well not really fast, but it came together at a certain point where it was like ‘I really want to do this next.’"

"But to be honest, the later I do it, it feels like I could learn more, especially about special effects. It’s a big effects movie, so I’m pleased to go into it having done Scott Pilgrim and The World’s End because you’re always learning more about that side."
