Arnold Schwarzenegger in an interview had said that if James Cameron had gotten his Spider-Man movie series off the ground, he would've played Doc Ock. (I actually remembered that rumor back in the day.)

WB/DC may potentially be screwing the pooch with Justice League, but much will be forgiven if this actually gets off the ground and happens:

On top of that big news Dent, the other day Cosmic News reported a big rumor (and I mean BIG RUMOR) that the JL line-up will be Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman/Martian Manhunter/GL/Flash/Aquaman.
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=98465 Superman is essentially the same character from Man of Steel, and Zack Snyder is consulting regarding the writing of the character.
Batman: The strategist of the group. Batman doesn't really want to be involved with these super powered beings he considers too powerful. Easily the most complex written.
Wonder Woman: She has only been in man's world a few short months. The Wonder Woman script Michael Goldenberg is developing will be set before the Justice League movie.
Green Lantern: Will be Ryan Reynold's character from the Green Lantern movie, but will be freshly written with a more serious tone.
Flash: The most popular hero in civilian eyes who loves media attention, but when called upon is very serious.
Martian Manhunter: Alien who has lived on Earth in secret for over a hundred years who has knowledge of Darkseid and his reign.
Aquaman: Will be the King of Atlantis who has a key role in the film.
There will also be a heavy military presence in the film which in future rewrites could include characters featured in Man of Steel or even Amanda Waller (Angela Bassett) of which neither are included in the first draft.
Alfred Pennyworth is in the film in a minor appearance.
Lois Lane is also in the film in a cameo.
Darkseid's Elite will be featured who go up against the Justice League early on in the film.

El Mayimbe of Latino Review (who tends to be THE guy for superhero/genre newsbreaks - he broke the Del Toro story, for example) shot that down pretty hard on Twitter. According to him, they're still working out who's going to be on the team and will be until there's a director. Also, according to him, given Django's success SOMEONE in the room is going to pitch replacing Hal Jordan with John Stewart.

Well thanks for the correction.
I find that Stewart aspect funny considering that was the plan back in the Miller days. We need our token black member, after all.
That rumored (now false?) line-up made sense. It's simple and not too many people at once. Except I really just don't like Aquaman. But that's out of my hands. (Yes Darkseid, me and my dolphins will win!) I would want to suggest Hawkgirl, but you've got enough aliens already as it is. Save her for the sequel. If WB actually gets this damn thing made of course.
I really really really really want to see that GDT team movie. Give us the real John Constantine, scouser trenchcoat bastardry? Hellz yah!

Hawkgirl would be great (shit, I was watching Looper this weekend, and I realized Emily Blunt would own in that role :fancast: ). I'd love it if we got at least two female characters on the League, in contrast to Avengers. DC has some fun female characters beyond Wonder Woman, it'd be great if some of them could get into the mix instead of Aquaman.
Though, if we get the over-the-top version of Aquaman from Batman: The Brave and the Bold, I'd go with it. Sadly, we will not.

Fan-filmmaker gets the job to direct Y: The Last Man.

Fuck. Fuckety fuck fuck fuck. You can't get a REAL director (or, better, a real great TV exec producer) to make this the series it deserves to be? Duncan Jones or Javier Grillo-Marxuach (or, hell, Vaughn himself) weren't taking calls this week?
I just don't think that movie is happening anytime soon.
Prove me wrong Hollywood!

I'd rather Hollywood proved you right, at least in this case. Y is not written for film. It's way more appropriate for TV adaptation than film, which would likely lose too much of the world and plots/character arcs that Vaughn builds up so carefully over the course of the series.

With the Masters of Evil rumors for AVENGERS 2 (really Internet?), lets say that is true. What would be the roster?
If IM3 does introduce Radioactive Man, that's one. But the rest?
I ask only because Toby Jones confirmed that he's returning for the CAPTAIN AMERICA sequel. I'm sure its just WW2 flashbacks, but dammit I sorta wish Arnim Zola "suvived" in his cyborg body with his giant mug in his chest.

Latino Review is now reporting the "final" movie JUSTICE LEAGUE line-up will be Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman/Flash/Green Lantern.
(But Martian Manhunter and Aquaman and Hawkman all could make cameos.)

As a main line-up, that makes total sense. Everyone knows Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Green Lantern just had a film (a shitty one, but a film nonetheless). And Flash's power is "runs fast" with an origin story of "lab accident". Disappointed there's not another female League founder, but that main line-up isn't too bad and shouldn't be too hard to do exposition/character establishment on - and the character types are varied enough as well.
