Yeah well, she definitely wasn't in the running. But she totally should have been nominated over that miserable hysterical gasping screeching mess

Bella Heathcoate, Lily James or Margot Robbie are all in the running for Cinderella. Richard Madden is also up to play the Prince.

Only here for Cate sharing the screen with Robb Stark. The girls are all a variation of bland...

From Alicia Vikander and Saoirse Ronan to Bella Heathcoate? It's a downgrade IMO. Bella is beautiful but was bland in Dark Shadows.

Bella was good in Dark Shadows but the role she truly shined in was Not Fade Away. Great little movie with a great performance from her. It's funny that she and Vikander were Rupert Sanders top five choices for Snow White and then he got a boner for Kstew and gave her the part. Personally I would be happy if Heathcote got the gig. Margot Robbie while young actually looks a tad bit older than cate and madden put together. Don't know who the hell lily james is?

    Richard Madden

Margot's has a better range (though I'm not a huge fan of Bella - I still think her best performance was in Beneath Hill 60).

Vikander not being able to do it, I think it's because she's got another project lined up that's been unannounced (since Son of a Gun will finish filming in May), that's probably the main reason she wasn't chosen.

Why can't Cate let go of this? She already has that Armani 10million paycheck coming. She doesn't need this.

Normally I'd be happy for some new names being cast but the names considered are all a downgrade from the original list and seriously do not make excited about this project. Too bad Alicia or Saoirse couldn't make it.

To be fair, aren't most of us going to pass on this regardless unless the reviews are stand-out?

I haven't seen anything from the actresses that were newly considered so I'm all for this casting in a sense that it's a new face. This role probably won't demand a lot out the actress in terms of acting skill, so this a good platform for the less experienced. Out of all the three actresses that were first announced, Vikander would be the best choice for me. Saoirse is great, but she's being cast in way too many movies so I would've been bothered if she won the role; she's almost cliche now when it comes to "under 25 which actress would you cast?"

As for the project, I understand why Cate wants to do this. People who want her off this because "she's too good for this" honestly need to put their actor's cap on. It's called the Evil Stepmother. I think she'll be a good one. And as for "we all need to eat" -- unless she totally wasted all her money from Indiana Jones, LoTR and The Hobbit to say such a thing is foolish. She probably got paid a nice check when she did Clooney's, Malick's and Allen's movies. She ain't struggling to pay the bills people. If she did it for the money then the right phrase would be "we all want to be rich."

C'mon people. For all the movie analysis and guessing who'll get in for the Oscars I expect better.
