If Body of Lies, which had Ridley Scott + Leo + Crowe could tank, there's no reason whatsoever to think this movie will make any money, especially in a crowded season. There hasn't been a single Iraq/post-Iraq movie do well at the box office. Not even Green Zone, which was sold as Bourne in Iraq.
I think this is an assured box office flop but it won't stop it in the way of becoming a contender. Although I don't think it's getting in BP.

Why is Kyle mad at her?![]()
She's just trying to save the world, one Oscar at a time.

I think I may need an Andy-made J'ssca sig.

What awards season isn't painful? At least I can rest assured that Les Mis is going to win everything and thus my happiness can shine for once.
And for the record, I actually really like Chastain. She makes my top twelve three times last year in Supporting Actress (she doesn't make my ballot though) and so I'm happy for her career, since she has real talent. Lawrence just bores me, but I haven't seen any of her movies this year and now that I'm about 50 pages away from finishing The Hunger Games I have to say I'm excited to see the film and will reasses my take on her bland acting ability afterward.
Day-Lewis is
I mean, he has moments of greatness (TWBB and A Room with a View being his finest moments) and then moments of over the top ridiculousness (GoNY and In the Name of the Father come instantly to mind) and then a bunch of stuff I like but don't love, including My Left Foot. I mean, the method to his madness pays off on occasion, but the idea that he is the best actor in the world is hilarious because, well...he's not even close. He's like Sean Penn to me...highly overrated, which only takes away from the moments when he's spot on.
