So, according to your dubious social values, Marion wouldn't be a worthless piece of shit if she were a nosy, attention-seeking egomaniacal loudmouth who would never shut up even when solicited.
How dare some people not open their tireless mouths a lot and say nothing noteworthy. Instead, a few indivisuals choose to say little only when appropriate. THE NERVE!
I didn't actually think Marion was particularly bad. Her bad director story was amazing.
Sally Field and to a lesser extent Helen Hunt were great and deservedly dominated the conversation.
Rachel Weisz? For what?
Sally Field owned all these peasants. If anyone was even doubting her nomination at this point, they should watch this video of her explaining how she campaigned for this role. She is locked.
Anne, watch your back gurl, Miss Sally is coming!
I think I speak for all ADers when I say I can't wait for the day when Hilary Swank's gonna be owning Fanning's/Fanning's/Ronan's/Steinfeld's roundtable.
The Deep Blue Sea, her film with Terrence Davies that came out in March. It's an amazing performance that is more than worthy of being nominated but given how small the film is, and that it was released so early, she doesn't have a chance. Nevertheless, her and the director have been out and about in LA recently reminding people of the film, and I appreciate THR for giving it a spotlight by including Weisz.
Weisz is incredible in Deep Blue Sea and I dont usually like her. Dont think she'll get a nod though.
And Marion was totally talking about The Last Flight.. lol. She pretty much all but said the name - I love the cattiness she exhibits. I also love how Amy Adams is so close to cutting a bitch, maybe she's more like her character in The Master than I thought.
I was just brushing up on Watts's history, and I had no idea she actually worked as Nicole's nanny before her breakthrough. How did I not know this??
That is quite possibly the funniest thing I've ever heard. Nicole is such a kind soul. Helping the lesser's out.
This was a fantastic watch! I feel like everyone had amazing contributions.
I can't believe I'm going to defend Anne Hathaway but this is BY FAR the most relaxed and genuine I've ever seen her. I loved how candid she was about her Oscar hosting gig. You can tell she's becoming more self-aware (in a good way!) and confident.
I don't think Marion lacks "intelligence". I think she is shy and gets easily nervous, thus she tends to ramble a bit. I can relate to her! When English is not your first language and you're among very articulate people, it can be intimidating. I thought she was lovely here, especially that story about her winning the French Razzie, LMAO.
Sally Field had the most compelling stories. So glad to see her back in the big leagues!
Helegend was a boss here. Especially when she politely confronted the interviewers for asking bullshit questions.
It's funny to see Amy here and compare her in the Actress roundtable just two years ago. You can tell motherhood has given her an edge. I hope she goes all Bjork on a paparazzi at some point.
Naomah looked GORGEOUS here. Loved to hear her natural accent and voice. So sexy and feminine.
Rachel Weisz was a welcome presence here. She's the least likely to get attention during Awards season but she still looks AMAZING and her stories were fun.
So yeah, people can bitch about how much attention is paid to the Best Actress categories but I bet your ass the Actors roundtable won't be as engaging as this one.
Leaving a screening of The Paperboy.
