After seeing it yesterday, I'm surprised the theater stage concept is going over poorly for so many. I loved it, and found it didn't take any getting used to. I was just sucked in immediately. It wasn't distracting from the story either, although I should admit that I haven't read the book (I know, shame on me). I thought all the actors were superb (Matthew MacFadyen was such a wonderful ham in this ), and I'm shocked that the film apparently isn't going to get that much awards attention.
I still have to see Les Miserables, Django, & The Hobbit - obviously - but, as of now, this is definitely my favorite film of the year.
