Down to "Argo" vs "Les Mis" in my book (I know a lot of people have alot of faith in "Lincoln", but I don't see a passion angle there). The main reason I'm sticking with "Argo" is because I see Affleck winning the DGA which usually equals BP.
If one more person says that Lincoln has no passion I am going to scream.

After seeing Life of Pi tonight, all i can say is that I'm praying for it to miss. It's very pretty, but the screenplay is atrocious and Sharma's performance is pretty bad.

I would expect no less. So, when can we restart the conversation? How about, after the Globe nominees are announced? That sounds good to me. Frankly, I'm tired of my own negativity. Any concern over Lincoln not appealing to The Hollywood Foreign Press as much as American journalists and Academy members? There has been some speculation of the film not playing as well outside of the US. Just suggesting it may hinder a win.
When has a film's "Americanness" ever been a hindrance with the HFPA?
