I don't see Henry happening. He seems like someone who hits all of the precursor but misses the big one (i.e. the Oscar).

Lol, I guess you're right. They only way I see him getting in, is if BotSW makes a splash on nomination morning. I see more of a DeNiro/Hoffman/TLJ/Redmayne line-up with the 5th slot being a toss up between Crowe, the unseen DiCaprio, and Arkin if they want to give Argo an acting nod.

LMAO.
The only thing THR has to say about Jason Clarke is...
Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal's "Hurt Locker" followup tells the story of the hunt for Osama Bin Laden and stars Jessica Chastain and Jason Clarke.

Okay, I saw Silver Linings Playbook a few hours ago, and seriously, DeNiro is in. This is not based on my reaction, but that of my parents (who are in their mid-50's). They're slightly younger than the average Academy voter, but still, they both mentioned DeNiro, not Lawrence or Cooper, was the standout, and my dad says this is the best DeNiro performance he's seen since the 90's (and my dad really likes DeNiro). This is horribly anecdotal, I know, but people have been yearning for DeNiro to turn back on, to stop cashing in and phoning in, and bring it, and people seem to think he brings it in SLP. I wouldn't call him locked, but I have confidence it'll happen, to the point that I think it's the second most likely nomination for the film after Picture.
Also, he has SO MANY OSCAR CLIP TYPE SCENES.
DeNiro 2nd most likely after Picture? As in Picture is MOST likely to happen...then DeNiro..
Before Lawrence...

I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though.
Can we have a new poll, or should we wait until we may hear anything more on Jason Clarke?
It just seems like a lot of people (including myself) are starting to predict Redmayne.
W_O_V is in charge of the polls, we'll leave the decision to him. We're only a week away from the end of the month, though he might want to do a pre-NY/NBR poll. We'll see.

Erik, you must tell Sasha (and the WORLD) about Eddie "DSL" Redmayne.
