This doesn't exactly scream a nomination for Ehle:

Given no backstory, links to the world outside the CIA or any interest in smalltalk or other subjects, Maya occasionally has a drink to unwind but otherwise seems entirely incapable of shutting down her laser-like focus of her obsession. She becomes tolerably friendly with a gregarious, chatty female colleague (the ever-wonderful Jennifer Ehle) but most of the time is the only female in the room; she knows when to hold her tongue and her frustrations are legion, but she also finds her moments to assert herself and speak out to superiors when she suspects her contributions are being ignored, due either to her rank or because she's a woman.

I am not predicting Hawkes, so I feel confident in dropping Hunt of the top 5.

all this latest blog/tweet buzz about Barks is not confirmed.

Eponine is the best female part in Les Miz - every young actress wants to be her. Fantine is great too but that role usually goes to a mature actress, and she only gets to be in the first act (apart from a brief reprise at the very end).

I don't understand all this buzz about Seyfried, but I realise she is a hot starlet with a good career, so you never know....

I would think that Helena Bonham Carter could potentially be a scene-stealer and gain buzz. She is after all a respected previous nominee, and she was made for this part - she gets to play an evil, crazy, cackling hag, hehe...

Of course Hathway is locked, but the 2nd Les Miz supporting nom (which I think is inevitable) could be either of Barks, Seyfried or Bonham Carter at the moment....

BTW I think Bonham Carter should be added to the next poll. Along with Seyfried, her solo face image is being used to promote the film. Barks is not. I know that's because she's a bigger star, but still...(especially when there are people like Jennifer Ehle for Zdark30 on the poll)
