I would die happy if Sally Field won a third Oscar for this. Suck it Streep. Sally only shows up to the Oscars when it counts.

Great. Now who's going to watch Sunday Rose on SAG night??

Clearly, Spielberg should have stuck with Neeson.

Even if Lincoln fails at Oscar wins, Adapted Screenplay could be a lock...hell, even Tommy Lee Jones could end up winning his second Oscar!

It feels like a case where these criticisms can start picking up traction as the season moves on, and it's chances of winning anything decrease. It sounds like one of those film you have to nominate out of respect, but don't neccesarily have to give anything to.
Hi it's me again. Just stopping by to laugh at this unintentionally comical post. You're still campaigning hard against Lincoln I see

ugh, I hope someone surprising comes into this category. Any of Hunt, Hathaway, or Field winning would be boring as hell. Well, I mean, the reactions to Hathaway here might be funny, but ehhhh.

I am wondering how fervent Denzel Washington's supporters are regarding his performance in Flight. I am feeling that if he has an ardent fanbase at AMPAS, it may give a shot for a Kelly Reilly "flight" nod ala Maggie Gylenhall getting carried along with Jeff Bridges in Crazy Heart. Her part in Flight is a bit superfluous (as many have mentioned) but I think the work Reilly does with this underwritten part is really quite good. Feels like one of those damaged woman supporting roles that the Oscar folks seems to like. It would be a long shot in the vein of Maggie G's nod.

I dunno, I liked her, but I can't tell if it's because she was good or because she was insanely hot. Ah, the pitfalls of being a straight guy and trying to judge actressing.
