Harry Potter film series. Never before and never again will a film series bring in the caliber of actors and actresses that were present throughout all 8 films. Just law night I was flipping and saw a portion of Sorcerer's Stone with Alan Rickman. With a mere two second look, he conveyed so much. It's a shame he wasn't nominated for an Oscar last year. Moreover, it is an abomination that the series did not ever receive a single Oscar.
Sometimes, I guess there just aren't enough rocks.

I think the Harry Potter series is underrated in general. Of course, with a beloved literary series like that, I suppose it is to be expected to have a lot of spirited and contentious debate over the film quality of them. I think the series is severely underrated on AD, in particular, especially the last one which received the most rapturous acclaim by far of all of them, tons of 100s on Metacritic, but AD barely cracked a smile at it LOL.

I genuinely think Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and Deathly Hallows Part 2 are great films. And I really enjoy the other films in the series though they all have their problems of course. But they're all so well cast and the worlds are so immaculately created that I still have great fun with all of them even if, like the rest of you, I wish they had gotten more inspired directors for them.

But on this poll, I of course voted for Middle Earth, I mean, come on! That was a no brainer!

As much as I love The Harry potter series (Prisoner of Azkaban is one of my favs ever) it can't hold a candle to Lord of the Rings.

But I do hold it up there with Pixar when it comes to kids films.

LOTR of course, if we consider them as one film. If considered separately, FOTR is the best film of the series.

Not including Spirited Away on this list of choices, and having Twilight and Underworld instead should be grounds for immediate banning.

The thread creator should be ashamed.

    Agreed.
I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though.

I didn't include it because it's Animation. But it's surely better then most films in the poll.
