I just can't buy that we're only going to have ONE newcomer in this race.

And I can't buy the fact that Les Mis will have 3 nominations in this category. I think it's far more likely that we have only one newcomer.

I was semi-not-serious with my Seyfried prediction.

That's fine, because she is going to happen, anyways.

If Seyfried happens, it will be because Barks is no good. That scenario not outside the realm of possibility at all. However, I just don't think Les Miz can pull off three nominations in any acting category with the way ballots are counted. The math doesn't really add up.

Great. Now who's going to watch Sunday Rose on SAG night??

There will probably also be a limited amount of spotlight on the Les Miz performers. They just won't be able to handle four or even five actors, so I don't see how it's Barks and Seyfried unless Hathaway fails somehow.

The man who leaves and the man who comes back are not the same.

    Hunt, The Sessions
    Barks, Les Misérables
Dench, Skyfall (no guts, no glory)

My no guts, no glory prediction would be Pauline Collins, for Quartet. But I don't do NGNG predix anyway, so...

    NGNG:

Natalya Angel Wallace as "Young Eponine" in Les Misérables
    AND/OR
Nikica Markot as "Lovely Lady" in Les Misérables

Can't decide yet who is more likely. I think Les Mis could actually land six nominations in this category.

The movie received mixed reviews at Tiff and was picked up by a not well known distributer. I don't even think it's coming out this year.

I saw Flight a few days ago, and was wowed by Kelly Reilly. I know she's a longshot now, but I hope she gets in.

God, Hathaway is vile. It's going to be a long couple of months

ETA: Doesn't she realize Sally is the competition?

I'm SO HAPPY that you will have to watch Anne Hathaway and Helen Hunt awards show after awards show!

I was kidding. Anne Hathaway is annoying but I don't hate her or her acceptance speeches. I actually laughed at her Critics' speech award (not in a good way though). And I won't have to worry about Helen Hunt, the camera will like pan on her once or twice through the awards show anyway. They're gonna be focused on Lawrence, Hathaway, Chastain (if nominated)...you know, people actually relevant

LOL, I still remember when Hunt was relevant this year...not she's easily the filler in the bunch.
