...I don't know what this proves other than anonymous people on Rotten Tomatoes having questionable taste.
Look at Daenerys storyline in Season 2 and in Season 1, then you know why season 1 is better. But I love both Seasons.
That's a result of the source material though.
But if they Daenerys is the main reason you prefer season 1, then you're in for a treat in season 3.

I cant wait till season 3, it's killing me...Also other storylines were not so good in season two. Robb Stark's or also Jon Snow's...

2 was better but god I NEED MORE DANY!
Season 2 got me interested in the show. In a way, I prefer the pacing of Season 1 but the way the plots and characters of Season 2 was just far more interesting to me. And of course, it's just fascinating to me how the show moves on without its central character. Watching Sansa, Arya, Theon, etc. really come into their own is what got me hooked.
