Poor, poor Shelley.
I seriously don't understand such an wasy dismissal of 'Camp'. I think it's a legitimate style and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Lange's performance in the first season was a tour de force in every sense. it's one of her best performances ever, specially in the last few episodes.
I'm so behind on this. I only watched episodes 1 and 2 (which featured an AWESOME Suspiria-"inspired" sequence) and a friend just told me episode 4 is like THE VERY BEST SO FAR.
Oh, you have no idea...
Also:
It's going to get insane."I can't wait until she goes insane," Murphy purrs.
"Me too!" Lange chimes in.
"That's my favorite thing that I'm living for," he says. "We have a very great last episode that I told her about."

Jessica looking good. Dem legs.
I can't tell if JLange stopped working on her face and is finally taking age with grace or if she's on the precipice of OK number of face lifts and JOAN RIVERS number of face lifts.
Will Oscar have Riva Fever?
But either way..she looked amazing in that JKL interview.
Will Oscar have Riva Fever?
HUNCH: I think BloodyFace will be Sister Mary Eunice and Lily Rabe is going to literally kill it.
That is all![]()
I thought we already kinda knew that the Dr. was Bloody face?
Will Oscar have Riva Fever?
The identity of Bloody Face has yet to be confirmed. (I know who it is, but I've watched ahead.)
Also, the last 10 minutes of tonight's episode feature some seriously fucked up and dark shit. I'm sort of surprised at the episode going there.
HS
Tonight was really disturbing. Usually I find this show to be a mix if campy, crazy fun, but tonight it was just really, really dark. Almost unnerving. Still great though. I think this season is exponentially better than the first one.
I don't know what to say here. I think that Murphy has started out campy, brought us all in and is brilliantly taking us to a very dark and disturbing place that is much more horrifying than anything we have seen on Season 1. Once again, the ensemble here is doing some amazing work. Lange continues to be a revelation. Sister Jude's monologue about the squirrel and her mother was truly a think of beauty. The big reveal in the final moments was indeed disturbing and very well done. This has gone to a place that has me going to the liquor cabinet along with Sister Jude, lol.
