    Ahem.

Note: I've never done anything like that for any other album around here.

Ugh how do you not love 1+1?!

I mean, yeah, it's a bit silly, but that production and her vocals make me melt.

I just like when Beyonce gets honest, for instance admitting that she doesn't know much about algebra.

    Also, Ben...
Hey, my computer has been at the Apple store for the past week getting repairs so I haven't really been able to respond or post much. Anyhow. I did see your comment.

I might write later more of my thoughts on Beyonce, but she's one of those artists that I don't dislike, but I'm not a huge fan of either. Sometimes I really love her (the Single Ladies era, and when she brought Taylor Swift onstage at the 2009 VMAs are two examples), and sometimes she annoys me (singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl press conference and then asking 'any questions?' was slightly silly and annoying), but for the most part I'm neutral.

I'll probably watch her Super Bowl performance if I'm inside when it comes on. But somehow the buzz just feels a little more low key then in previous years. That's not to say that I don't think Beyonce's a good choice. I actually think its great they got her because it shows that the NFL may start going with more current, younger performers instead of the older legends they've gone for in the past (ignoring the fact that BEPs performed in 2011). I'm hoping Beyonce's performance is followed by Rihanna or Katy Perry in the next few years.

I swear I hear more people talk about Beyonce than the Super Bowl itself.

This was the same thing with Madonna last year.

Well considering that more people watched the half-time show than the actual game last year...

Obvs it's the people who watched the game + the fans who just wanted to watch the performance and not the game itself.

Are your gay white friends boycotting because Katy Perry wasn't given the opportunity?

    Will Oscar have Riva Fever?

No... Are you joking though? Truth be told, most of my gay friends don't watch football.
