I think this pic is interesting. I was wondering if Beyonce was going to try and outdo Madonna, or if she was just going to get out there and do her own thing. But the throne, costume, etc has me wondering.. does this mean that everytime a female pop star performs at the Super Bowl, she's going to try and position herself as the new Queen?
Ya heard!
Also, Ben, I love Madonna, but Beyonce could lift her finger and outdo Madonna.
Baby Boy and Countdown confirmed?
Elena
I think Single Ladies and Run The World (Girls) are sure choices, IMO.![]()
Well she is batshit, but that's part of why we love her.
Will Oscar have Riva Fever?
I'd wish she'd perform End of the Time. That'd be the perfect song here.
IN a perfect world, I'd have her do End of Time, Lose My Breath, and Get Me Bodied.
Why do female entertainers doing the SB need supporting acts? Seriously, why? There's no point, and Beyonce doesn't need it. Neither did Madge Monster last year.
I look at the previous SB shows (I started a thread about that topic) and did McCartney need supporting acts? The Stones? Prince? Springsteen? Hell no.
I'm sorry but you have 12 minutes to do your shit. Supporting players are gimmicky and worse, they stick out like a sore thumb and at worst like a mangled thumb.
I tend to agree, but the Destiny's Child thing feels a bit unique. I do think, if it happens, it will take away from the show. But this certainly isn't a case of an act trying to add younger, fresher star power to boost their image and of the performance. I think Beyonce truly treasures both Kelly and Michelle and realizes their importance in her career and wants to share the biggest stage in the world with them.
I think it's an unwise decision, at least in terms of the overall performance, but I don't think you can describe as anything other than genuine and sweet.
