That was incredible. I probably should've started my 30 Rock marathon a bit sooner so that I wouldn't watch the last five seasons of the show in about two weeks, though.![]()

That was so good! I'm so sad this is over. I've never watched a sitcom so religiously like this one and I probably won't again. So happy the finale didn't disappointment. I teared up everytime they teared up. I've never seen Tina Fey act like she did in the scene with Tracy at the strip club.
I'm really hoping they get the Emmy that they deserve in September.
I just saw the tag. So perfect!
I'm gonna miss everyone, but there will never be another Jenna Maroney.
I loved it, it had the right tone and it was a great send off. I loved that they brought back Kathy Geiss with the Temple Grandin machine, Jonathan () and Julianne and Salma Hayek. I would have loved a Rachel Dratch cameo as well, but the episode worked without it.
Perfect ending!
I think they just couldn't get Mickey Rourke to appear, but I'm glad they somehow tied that up.

In each of the last 7 seasons of TV, 30 Rock was my favorite comedy. Even S5 & 6, yes.
I wonder if it'll be Battle for the 4th Emmy: Modern Family vs. 30 Rock. Or maybe they'll split the 4 acting Emmys and a third show actually wins the top prize, like Sex and the City and Frasier's final seasons vs. Arrested Development.

Ugh, I love this show. I will miss it.
It should destroy Modern Family at the Emmys if everything goes well. But it's the Emmys, and things can get weird.![]()
I loved the resolution between Liz and Criss and how they inverted the whole stay-at-home mom angle. (And their hilarious smackdowns on that internet message board!) However, I did think it was odd that moment was the last time we ever saw him.
Jenna's mirror montage was priceless!![]()
WE'RE GONNA FIGHT!
This weekend...one last chance to save Halle's career from complete oblivion. Oh, wait...
"...it's already done."
#THECALL.
That was awesome. The whole subplot with Lutz and Blimpies, the scene with Jack and Liz at the boat (and Jack's instant turnaround), the Rural Juror song...yeah. Fantastic.
Great ending. Felt simple, which worked well. Just a good episode of the show. Overall one of the better seasons, which is high praise.
Loved the epilogue, too, especially the last scene.![]()
Incredible finale. Not only was it very emotional but hilarious as well.
I really hope 30 Rock takes home that 4th series Emmy from Modern Family.
This is easily Fey's tape (unless she chooses Mazel Tov, Dummies!). Could be Baldwin's as well although I think Aunt Phatso vs. Jack Donaghy and Game Over would be effective choices as well.
I preferred the finale in terms of Tina Fey's performance. Mazel Tov was more about Liz + Criss and her + her ideas about society and gender, while the finale was about her + her figuring out what really makes her happy, her + Jack, and her saying goodbyes to people like Tracy. The latter is more emotional and is more what Liz is about, for me.
Hope the show can return to Writing and Directing at the Emmys...maybe finally winning the latter after 7 losses?
I wonder what my favorite comedy will be next season. The only comedy I currently plan to watch a substantial portion of is Louie, which I don't quite love.

Oh my god. Can we just drop the Emmy, "how will this affect its awards potential?" talk for once? Also, you don't love Louie? Come on, jx3.
Anyway, this was perfect. A very fitting ending for a show that was as brave as it was hilarious. It's a real testament to the show's infrastructure that it was able to come together for such a memorable final season. Jenna Maroney will be missed like no other. The "Rural Juror" performance might be the greatest moment I've ever experienced.
Some great performances all around in the finale. Fey and Baldwin were both incredibly poignant. The best was probably Lutz, though.
I think it's a testament to the show that it can make a song as absurd as "Rural Juror" (which I'll henceforth call Rrrrr Jrrrr) work as both a fitting sendoff to Jenna Maroney and also a fairly moving sendoff for the show itself.
Aside from the fact that neither of the above posts was just about the Emmys, and my first post in this thread not at all, I apologize for my posts not living up to the original, brilliant, scintillating posts of yours like "This was really funny!" and "Oh, it's been pretty amazing. Krakowski is just incredible."
In case anyone hasn't bothered to look up the lyrics of the finale song: The Irma Luhrman-Merman murder
Turned the bird's word lurid
The whir and the purr of a twirler girl
She would the world were demurer
The insurer's allure
For valor were pure Kari Wuhrer
One fervid whirl over her turgid error

These were the best days of my flerm.

Such a great final episode, I totally cried. And how does Krakowski not have an Emmy yet?!![]()
I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though.
I fell out of the show early in season 4, but marathoned the last five episodes of this last weekend and was amazed at how strong the show was going out, which the finale also managed to also live up to. Makes me want to go check out Seasons 5 and 6 now (Which I understand had an uptick in quality from early season 4, gah).
I don't remember caring much for Lutz or any of the writers outside of the occasional one-liner, but the hilarity of this also surprised me a lot.

I feel like this will be her year because no real competition has risen. Vergara's pregnancy storyline ended up being nothing and Bowen has not had anything really special. I just see the goodwill of the show ending and her having so much tapes she should at least get the nomination if not the win.
I guess it's time for me to start 30 Rock.
