I basically agree with this, and still wouldn't be surprised if it wandered back in (this is known as "hedging your bets").
Also, this article seemingly confirms Netflix stuff is eligible, but I think the point about cable stuff taking a long time to break through back in the '90s relates to why Netflix might underperform (at least this season).
