The only thing that made me laugh on that was the crack about Wallis' name. Probably because my own last name is basically an alphabet stew, too.

It was a pretty average episode. I found the diner sketch weirdly funny, probably because I absolutely adore cringe-worthy comedy and Lawrence came off as legitimately terrifying.

I thought a lot of this was horrifically homophobic.

I thought the Gay Chat Show was an interesting piece of writing, probably because I know people who never get called out on how ridiculously rude they're being because they use the phrase "I'm gay" to make themselves completely immune to criticism. It's a reversal of the attitude that irritates many people - when straight people assume everyone else is straight around them, irregardless for people's feelings on the matter. (Not sure about that really random ending with Sudeikis. It almost seems like a satirical jab at the whole premise of the sketch.) Otherwise... I line up with Dyedred, the sketches were crazy homophobic. Weekend Update and the Digital Short were beautiful, though.

This is a really great point.

I also agree that the sketches were not particularly progressive as far as gays are concerned. They reinforced a lot of stereotypes, which I didn't like. However, I found them to be mostly hilarious, and thought this was one of the best episodes of the seasons so far.

Man, I thought it was horrible! Almost like some terrible cable access sketch comedy show.

The gay talk show (whatever the hell it was called) just shocked me in how inhumanely and offensively it painted gay men. It certainly didn't help having the insufferable Adam Levine doing his best impression of whatever he's seen while stumbling onto Bravo while skipping through the channels.

The fire house sketch might be the worst thing I've ever seen SNL do. Pointless, irritating, offensive and completely unfunny. I couldn't believe what I was watching.
