Let's just take a second.
Macklemore ain't so bad himself, either.
I prefer them together.

Macklemore is basically a hot Channing Tatum. Damn, that's a cold ass honky.
Ew, Macklemore is not hot.
Elena
Ryan Lewis is way hotter, but there's something cute about Macklemore.
Speaking of Macklemore, it's kind of impressive that a song like this has managed to go #1 in a major market (Australia):
Macklemore isn't what you'd consider "hot" in a traditional way, but I also find there to be something uniquely attractive about him. And look at that. We've managed to turn yet another thread into the "Men Thread."![]()
I've seen the Same Love video about a hundred times and it still gets me every time. It's such a beautiful piece of work. I almost feel like it shouldn't work, but it's on the right side of sincerity and wrong side of saccharine. I adore it.
Same Love's been Number one in Australia for two weeks running, it's pretty brilliant. Do you think it can do it in the US?
Scream and Shout is currenty in its 9th week in the digital top 5.
That's as many T5 weeks as previous #1s 3 + Hold It Against Me + Womanizer combined. It's really a testament to both how quickly Britney hits fade away usually, and how popular this song is for reasons unknown to me.
In the last 9 months there are now 3 songs that got 300k+ sales multiple weeks (aside from the post-Xmas inflated week) - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, I Knew You Were Trouble, Thrift Shop.
This week, #1 seller Thrift Shop sold 381k. Runner-up Scream & Shout sold 170k. So #1 beat #2 by over 124%. Sexyback and Right Round are the only digital singles to more than double the runner-up's sales for multiple weeks.

Meryl on Oscars: Y’see these little babies? These are my best f***ing friends
and they never let me down. Try to get ‘em away from me and I’ll eat you alive.
Thrift Shop has another record breaking week at number 1, will.i.am goes top 3 and 2 of my fave songs go top 10, Try and Sweet Nothing. Pink and Florence bringing quality to the top 10! First top 10 for Florence, 13th for Alecia Moore.

Somehow half of the Pitch Perfect soundtrack is on the Billboard Top 100. I should probably go see that movie?
Try is so boring, but at least it sounds different from her previous singles (a problem I've had with her in the past), I guess...
Yeah, "Try" is so boring. But good on Pink's success. Now, I want "Just Give Me A Reason" to be huge![]()

JGMAR already top 50 on Itunes with only the video release. She's coming hard this era.
